Hip History Night at the Museum - Good Wood Edition

Strike up the bluegrass music, folks! It’s time for Hip History Night at the Museum – The Good Wood Edition, presented by Hilliard Lyons. Come tap your toes to the tunes of the Misty Mountain String Band as they take a break from their national tour to headline our celebration of everything that is cool about Kentucky – from Goodwood Brewing and Longwood Antiques to Louisville Slugger’s famous wooden bat. Did you know the Louisville Water Company once used wooden pipes? Did you know you could make cocktails with beer? Have you always wondered about KFC's secret recipe? We can't tell you what it is, but guests will see how KFC still "does chicken the hard way" with a breading station. All will be revealed during this evening of arts, craft, food, and culture.

Be the first to discover the Frazier’s brand new Pop Up Park (PUP), born from the ashes of a 1916 historic fire, touted as so huge that "every piece of fire apparatus in the City was on its way to Ninth and Main streets." Experience this Main Street hot spot with snacks, music, corn hole, and a full outdoor bar amongst the still visible charred bricks from a century ago.

Throughout the museum, engage with some of Kentucky’s most successful entrepreneurs, writers, artisans, and performers through hands on learning, demonstrations, tastings, and games. Grab a beer cocktail, grab your Kentucky Bingo board, and get ready for a foot stompin’ good time.
