Family Wellness Workshops

In the Cadre of the Hope & Healing: Celebrating 125 Years of Norton Children's Hospital, Exhibition at the Frazier, Norton Children's Hospital is offering four prevention and wellness workshops for caretakers and children on select Saturdays from 10 - 11 or 11:30 am.


Workshops are free with the price of general admission to the museum.

MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION FOR STRESS RELIEF
November 18 (10-11am)

This family wellness workshop will help you and your family discover stress relief through fun movement and mindfulness exercises. This workshop is appropriate for families with children 5 or older. (1 hour)

FRUIT BOOT CAMP
December 2 (10-11am) 

Join us for this fun family wellness workshop is designed to teach you and your school-age children how to eat right and stay active together. Adults and kids will practice making a healthy food item and participate in a fun fitness activity that the whole family can enjoy. All physical fitness levels are welcome. Children must be age 5 or older, and one parent or guardian must be present and participate with every two children registered. (1 hour)

GIRL TALK
January 13 (10-11:30 am)

This parent-daughter family wellness workshop will help you start the conversation around physical and emotional changes during puberty, along with learning the importance of good sleep habits, nutrition and exercise. Recommended for girls ages 8 to 13 and their parents.

BOY TALK
January 13 (10-11:30 am)

This parent-son family wellness workshop will help you start the conversation about physical and emotional changes associated with puberty, along with learning the importance of good sleep habits, nutrition and exercise. Recommended for boys ages 10 to 14 and their parents.
