The Power of Observation: A Photographic Journey with Julius Friedman

Saturday, August 27, 2016  from 9:00am – 12:00pm

The Frazier History Museum is thrilled to offer K – 12 educators a unique opportunity to explore photography as an art form, teaching tool and a path for self-reflection, with world-class artist and Kentuckian, Julius Friedman.  Teachers will contemplate observation and perspective as important, life-long skills through interactive activities with the Frazier’s temporary exhibit Julius Friedman: Fifty Year Retrospective.

Afterwards they will create their OWN photographs, using as their subject matter the Frazier Museum and downtown Louisville.  A group discussion with Julius will follow, allowing participants to share their photography.

Cost: FREE to professional educators - The $15 fee for this program has been provided by a grant through the Frazier Museum’s “Bridge to History” Project generously funded by Louisville Metro Government and the UPS Foundation.
