They are 153 young sixth graders who are making history in Jefferson County Public Schools. They are the inaugural class at W.E.B. DuBois Academy, the first of its kind in JCPS with plans to expand. The unique learning environment includes an Afrocentric curriculum and is open to boys from all backgrounds. Meet the people who brought the school to Louisville, along with an expert in black male achievement with a panel discussion on the need for DuBois, its success, and plans for the future. Join us as we partner with the city of Louisville and its Lean Into Louisville Initiative on Tuesday, February 19th at the Frazier!
