JULY 10 - AUGUST 31 | WEDNESDAYS AND SATURDAYS

This summer we are hosting over thirty sessions of outdoor activity in our Gateway Garden*  - a hidden outdoor oasis of native plants in downtown Louisville. Chanting meditation, Tai Chi, and Hip Hop dance sessions are free of charge and open to all, thanks to generous support from partner organization Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Kentucky. Join us on Wednesdays and Saturdays this summer starting July 10th until August 31st.

CHANT FOR PEACE | WEDNESDAYS, 12 – 1 PM

Sanskrit mantras have been used for millennia to connect humans to sound vibrations and more blissful states of existence. Instructor Tara Kimes will lead a kirtan, a call-and-response form of ancient mantra practice. Please bring a towel or blanket to sit on. Chairs will be available.

TAI CHI | SATURDAYS, 9:15 – 10:15 AM

Instructor Yong You has practiced the Yang style of Tai Chi since 1980. You has developed a single form practice method to simplify and ease the learning process, and maximize the Tai Chi benefits. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

HIP HOP DANCE | SATURDAYS, 10:30 – 11:30 AM

Learn the fundamentals of hip hop dance with instructor Ta’Nia Knott. Using original choreography and upbeat music, Ta’Nia will break down the moves while offering guidance on rhythm and coordination. No experience necessary! Ages 16 and up.

Each participant will receive a free canvas tote bag with a water bottle and a nutritional handout

*Weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, sessions will be moved to the Frazier’s Fourth Floor Loft.
