Winter Break camps Rectangle.png

We’re incredibly excited about winter break!  We're inviting children in grades 1-6 to join in a series of full-day festive winter programming.  Come for just one day, or join us for all six, as we explore fun themes related to the chilly weather.  We'll also play some traditional games and music and enjoy learning about unique festivities celebrating winter-time and beyond from all corners of the globe.

All camp sessions are:

  • taught by professional educators
  • limited to 18 children
  • run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the option for extended care until 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, December 20:
Christmas Creative

What if Picasso made Christmas cards, or Handel wrote Hanukah Music? Today we’re going to get creative with music, art, dance, drama and whole lot of history to get in the holiday spirit.

Thursday, December 21:
Holidays and History

For some reason, major events often happen on major holidays – from the crowning of kings, to secret missions, to moon orbits and more.  We’ll look at some of the most interesting events that occurred on major holidays in our usual fun, active and often goofy manner.

Friday, December 22:
There's a Holiday for That?!

It seems that there’s a holiday nearly every day.  We’ll look at the origins of the familiar like Mother’s Day, Earth Day, and Presidents Day, along with the less familiar, like Candy Day, Star Wars Day, Bird Day, even Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day. We might declare a few of our own.

Wednesday, December 27:
Around the World in a Day (or Two...)

Europe, Africa, and the Middle East

Through November and December of 1890, Nelly Bly took a 72 day journey around the world.  We’ll follow her path over the next two days to learn about the places she saw and the people she met.  While we’re at it, we’ll see how the people in these places today celebrate, relax and more.

Around the World in a Day (or Two...)

Asia and North and South America

If you’re returning from Monday, we’ll pick up right where we left off. If you join us today, you’ll just hop right aboard as we finish our fun, active journey across the globe.

Friday, December 29
New Year, New Fun

New Years is about looking towards the future, but we’re going to go back in time and learn about the fun, accurate and even outlandish things people predicted about today. We’ll make some predictions ourselves and look ahead to this year and beyond!
