The Kentucky Bourbon Trail® Welcome Center & Spirit of Kentucky Exhibit
The Frazier History Museum in partnership with the
Kentucky Distillers’ Association® is proud to announce the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® Welcome Center & Spirit of Kentucky Exhibit in 2018.
Located on the first floor of the Frazier and set to open in August 2018, the KBT® Welcome Center will serve as the Official Starting Point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. Located within the KBT® Welcome Center will be a professional and friendly concierge service that will help thousands of visitors plan their trips to Bourbon distilleries throughout the state, and navigate Louisville’s burgeoning Bourbon, culinary and nightlife scene.
The mission of the Spirit of Kentucky Bourbon Exhibit, which will be located on the third floor, is to provide an educational primer on the history of the Kentucky Bourbon industry. This immersive experience will show Bourbon in a much broader light, spotlighting this booming product as the icon that it is, and sharing the people, places and events that have made Bourbon the Spirit of Kentucky. Interactive exhibits and immersive digital displays will showcase all aspects of Bourbon’s history and culture, from the farming community and pioneering distillers to today’s Bourbon Barons, their families and everyday distillery workers.
There were 1.2 million visits to Kentucky Bourbon Trail® Experiences in 2017, and most of those visitors started planning their trip with the simple question, “Where do I start?” With the opening of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® Welcome Center and Spirit of Kentucky Exhibit in 2018, the answer will be, “It starts here” — at the Frazier History Museum!
