Join us for Free Family Day Sponsored by Passport by Molina Healthcare!
Come one, come all, to enjoy the holidays as family! Enjoy free admission to the Frazier Museum for a day of multicultural holiday activities, a chance to get your picture taken with Santa and the Grinch, delicious food from Con Aji y Cafe, Folklorico dance, and more! Last year, over 800 smiling guests turned out to explore the museum and enjoy our Free Family Day.
The holiday exhibition Lights on Main is a partnership offered between the Frazier and I Would Rather Be Reading.

Spooky Saturday Family Day
On October 21, visit the museum for an afternoon of Halloween-themed fun. From 11am–2pm, we’ll have themed activities, guests, and performances. David Domine will tell stories from his Louisville Historic Tours and Victorian Ghost Walk. We’ll have a special edition of “Dish With Tish,” with Tish Boyer (our Manager of Collections Engagement) showing-and-telling about uncanny artifacts from our collection. We’ll have family-friendly music and crafts, and we’ll conclude the afternoon with an all-ages puppet and variety show. Costumes encouraged!
Event and activity stations open at 11:00 am. Spooky Tours and Scavenger Hunts happen throughout the afternoon.

Family Day: Barrier Breakers
Join us for a fun-filled Saturday of crafts, storytimes, kid-friendly tours, and special guests! This April, we’ll celebrate those who broke down barriers in their world to help others, from amazing inventor Garrett Morgan to the first Black woman doctor in Kentucky, Sara Fitzbutler. This family day is FREE* thanks to a generous donation from an anonymous donor!
We are collecting 12" fashion dolls representing people of color for Bridge Kids International for storytelling camps this summer! Dolls can be new or used, and articulated (dolls with moving joints) are preferred.
*Free to families with children 18 and under in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Please be sure to mention this Free Family Day initiative at the Admissions desk on the day of the event. Special thanks to Louisville Metro Government, for its support through an External Agency Grant, and an anonymous donor for their support of this program.
