FRAZIER HISTORY MUSEUM JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Part-time Event Staff
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Events, Event Manager/Coordinators
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt / 13.00 Hourly
POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
Responsibilities of the part-time event staff role include greeting and directing guests, setting up and taking down tables and chairs, assisting with some basic cleanup during and after the event, and being able to assist with any emergency procedures such as a fire alarm or severe weather during an event. Hours are primarily evenings and weekends. Events includes weddings, corporate and private events.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
An event staff’s duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist with the set-up and teardown of events to include the unfolding, folding and storage of large numbers of tables and chairs.
Assist with cleanup before/during/after events.
Assist Manager/Coordinators in responding to alarms and any emergency situations.
Assist guests with general inquiries and Museum rules, representing the Museum in a courteous, professional and customer service oriented manner; remembering that all staff members are also “ambassadors for the Museum.”
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements
• High School Diploma (or equivalent); Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
• At least two years of customer service experience.
WORKING & PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
Hours worked are flexible and based on your availability.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; to climb stairs; and process and maintain adequate vision and hearing.
Able to lift, pull, push and move furniture, equipment, supplies, parcels, etc. of up to fifty (50) lbs throughout the workday.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule; to include mostly evenings and weekends.
