“Step Into History” Walking Tours

  • Frazier History Museum 829 West Main Street Louisville, KY, 40202 United States (map)

The Frazier History Museum is now offering Step into History Walking Tours. They’ll be led by Hall of Fame teacher Patty Morris, who spent 23 years teaching history at Ballard High School. If you haven’t met her, she is a dynamo!

She has led similar tours for students and Louisville Tourism.

Beginning June 17, 2024, Patty will lead a walking tour that starts at the Frazier each Monday at 10:30 a.m. The tour will cover roughly a mile over a 10-block area and last approximately 75 minutes.

From the architecture of Main Street and City Hall to Abraham Lincoln and Lewis and Clark along the river, Patty will share key moments and uncover hidden details in the landscape perfect for both visitors and lifelong residents. Many of the stories covered, including key Underground Railroad sites, are closely related to objects and stories displayed at the Frazier.

The tours are free to Frazier members and free to Cultural Pass holders. The tours are also free with the price of admission to the Frazier at $14.

It’s recommended you sign in advance to reserve a spot. The tours are capped at 12 people to ensure the best experience.  You’ll purchase your museum ticket the day of the tour or show your cultural pass.

Make sure to bring water and wear comfortable shoes as you “step into history.”

When finished, step into the Frazier to see where the world meets Kentucky.

Note: Out of an abundance of caution, walking tours will be cancelled if the heat index is too high.  Guests will be notified ahead of time.
