“Step Into History” Walking Tours

  • Frazier History Museum 829 West Main Street Louisville, KY, 40202 United States (map)

The Frazier History Museum is offering two special dates of Step into History Walking Tours: on October 10 and 17 at 10:30 a.m. They’ll be led by our beloved Mick Sullivan, the Frazier’s curator of guest experience.

Many folks here and beyond know Mick for his tours inside the Frazier and his award-winning podcast, The Past and the Curious.

His walking tours will start at the Frazier at 10:30 a.m. and cover roughly a mile over several blocks, lasting approximately 75 minutes.

From the history of buildings on Main Street to a key site of Bloody Monday, an unusual and now-long-gone fountain, and beyond, Mick will share key moments and uncover hidden details in the landscape that are perfect for both visitors and lifelong residents. Many of the stories covered, including key Underground Railroad sites, are closely related to objects and stories displayed at the Frazier.

The tours are free to Frazier members. The tours are also free with the price of admission to the Frazier at $14.

It’s recommended you sign up in advance to reserve a spot. The tours are capped at 12 people to ensure the best experience. You’ll purchase your museum ticket the day of the tour.

Make sure to bring water and wear comfortable shoes as you “step into history.”

When finished, step into the Frazier to see where the world meets Kentucky.

Note: Out of an abundance of caution, walking tours will be cancelled if the heat index is too high.  Guests will be notified ahead of time.
